My Cousin's Favorite Picture Books
The other day my little cousin read me her favorite picture book:
"Harry and the Lady Next Door" by Gene Zion and illustrated by Margaret Bloy Graham.
A story about a mischievous dog that tries to drown out the horrible high-pitched noise that the opera singer next door makes... and eventually gets his way.
Well I guess this would be my favorite story too, because the moral is "If you annoy someone you dislike long enough, they'll eventually go away".
She also read me:
"Pig the Pug" by Aaron Blabey.
I really enjoyed this one, both the story and illustrations were cute and humorous. The story is about a selfish pug that hogs all of the toys and refuses to give any to the nice dog. His selfishness leads to his fall, and he finally learns to share... and gets a full-body cast.
And we finished it off with "I SPY".
